About Me

Hello, I'm Emma...

I’m an experienced integrative counsellor and energy psychotherapist specialising in individual in-person and online therapy.

I am deeply interested in the human condition, what makes us tick and how we navigate life’s challenges and make meaning from our suffering.

I find it immensely rewarding to accompany people on their journey towards self-discovery and change. Whatever it is that is happening for you now, I invite you to get in touch.

How I work

My integrative training enables me to tailor my approach, drawing on a number of styles and modalities (including psychodynamic, humanistic and somatic) to find what will work best for you. I also work holistically, integrating talking therapy with body-based and energy techniques – a combination I find to be very powerful.

My own healing journey

My own journey has included a lot of therapy and I’m still in therapy now.  Undoubtedly this has helped me hone my craft.  I have seen a number of practitioners of various modalities (person-centred, psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, NLP, Gestalt, Jungian, energy psychology, EMDR etc).  This helps me offer you an informed, integrative and integrated approach.

My own experience of energy psychotherapy as a client has been powerful. Instead of turning up to sessions, talking, and then leaving (hoping to feel better in time), I noticed that in the process of doing energy psychotherapy embodied exercises, I felt better then and there! During my sessions, I experience energy moving round my body and shifting.  I leave sessions feeling better than I did at the start, and over the months and years I have become lighter and more resilient in my daily life.

My training

I studied integrative counselling and psychotherapy at The Minster Centre, London. I have been practicing for a decade and have completed various subsequent trainings in energy psychotherapy and somatic techniques. I have a certificate in energy psychotherapy (2013 – 2014) and I am a certified Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) practitioner (2017).

I’m a registered member of BACP and abide by their code of ethics. I also invest in regular supervision and develop my practice through CPD and training.

Why choose me?

Clients come to me for my integrative and trauma-informed approach, which draws on extensive training in somatic and energy-based therapies. Many have tried other forms of therapy and are looking for a more embodied, holistic path to healing. Whether you are seeking to build on previous improvements or want a fresh approach, I invite you to get in touch.
