Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT)

What is Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT)?

Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) is a leading-edge, embodied trauma therapy designed to address the root causes of emotional distress and long-standing psychological wounds. Drawing on a holistic approach, AIT helps you process and integrate difficult memories, beliefs, and patterns that may be holding you back. I offer AIT sessions in-person in Central London and remotely for clients anywhere in the UK, ensuring flexibility and accessibility wherever you are.

How Does AIT Work?

AIT combines talking therapy with specific embodied interventions aimed at facilitating deep healing. We begin by exploring your concerns together, identifying the core issues that are troubling you. Once we reach “the heart of the matter”, I will guide you through AIT techniques, which may include bilateral stimulation, guided visualisation, and intentional phrases. These techniques are designed to help you “digest” and release unprocessed trauma, shifting difficult emotions and ingrained beliefs at their source.

Who Can Benefit from AIT?

AIT is particularly effective for individuals struggling with trauma, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Complex PTSD, as well as those facing chronic anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, bereavement, major life transitions, and physical illness that has not responded to conventional medical interventions. I have particular expertise working with cancer and other complicated conditions. It is also suitable for those experiencing “little t” traumas or simply searching for greater meaning and fulfilment in life.

Is AIT Safe?

My AIT sessions are conducted in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment, whether in-person or online. Many clients report that the process feels unusual at first, but quickly discover its effectiveness and safety. Through AIT, even deep-rooted or non-verbal traumas can be accessed and resolved, supporting your journey towards lasting well-being.

What Does an AIT Session Look Like?

Whether attending in-person in London or connecting online via video call, sessions are structured yet responsive to your unique needs. We talk through your concerns before moving into embodied interventions. This may include bilateral tapping, holding specific points on the body, or working with intention and guided phrases. The aim is always to help you experience a tangible shift, relieving distress and opening up new possibilities for healing.

How Does AIT Differ from Other Therapies?

Unlike traditional talking therapies which may not always reach the core of traumatic experiences, AIT actively engages both mind and body in the healing process. It is similar to EMDR in its use of embodied activities and bilateral stimulation, but offers its own unique structure and approach. The focus is on fully integrating past experiences and enabling you to reclaim a sense of wholeness and vitality.
